Females talk almost 3 times more than men, they can speak more quickly and actually get a buzz out of hearing their own voices.
A book written by a female psychiatrist says that inherent differences between the male and female brain explain why females are more talkative. Dr. Luan Brizendine says that in a female mind, females devote more brain cells talking than men. And if that wasn’t enough, the simple act of talking triggers a blood flow of brain chemicals which give women a rush similar to that felt by heroin addicts when they get high.
Well ‘ that’s so awesome’ says RITAMBHARA SAHNI, director at Belly dance institute Mumbai by Ritambhara Sahni who loves to talk herself. Not only are my instructors, performers, students high on belly dance but none of us can really ever stop talking about it. Talking about it constantly makes us even more high on belly dance.
This blog is all about the positive discussions and even serious, meaningful and fun talks that we have at our institute. There are so many questions about belly dancing and anything related to belly dance that it sometimes leads to long discussions which we sit and discuss after class or sometimes very meaningful stuff between those 2-3 minutes of break at class.
Also posting our discussions and moments will create memorable moments for all of us at Belly Dance institute Mumbai by Ritambhara Sahni.
Our sometimes funny, sometimes serious, sometimes meaningful talks always do make us realise something new about belly dance and about ourselves.
So Ritambhara Sahni says ‘ it’s good to talk too much ‘
All the topics are way too many…so for the sake of avoiding confusion we have separated the topics into several blogs as there is always too much to discuss, talk and share on each topic and of course the discussion and talks continue and the same topic is spoken about many a times at different venues of the institute at different times. So whenever that particular topic is spoken about we will definitely post the thought of our students, team and director pertaining to that topic.

On January 28, a show titled Hip-Nosis, The Ultimate Belly Dance Show of The Great Goddesses will bring together 200 young women from the city for a belly dancing performance. As part of it, they will move to Arabic, Egyptian and Bollywood beats.
Sahni, more importantly, is happy that the women who come to her institute, some of whom are investment bankers, journalists and even schoolteachers, don’t hesitate any more. “Belly dance is not akin to mujra
She also dispels the myth that one needs to have a flat stomach to be able to do justice to the dance. “Any woman can do this irrespective of their shape or size. In their performance this weekend, the girls will also use props like veils, finger cymbals and swords for a balancing act.”
At the same time, Sahni insists that belly dancing also has many health benefits as it helps a woman emotionally, physically and mentally. She says, “For me, belly dancing is spiritual. It targets your core muscles and shapes you up. Not only do your stomach muscles get toned, it also works wonders for your curves.”
